If you could have a superpower what would it be?
Extra-sensory perception - Would give me some idea of what was about to happen on a cricket field and give half-decent decisions.

3 Words To Sum Me Up Easygoing old git

Favourite Musician/Band?
Benny Goodman  -  His Orchestra and Quartet
Favourite Number  -  Sing, Sing, Sing.  Gene Krupa's drumming is the stuff of legends.

Sporting Hero
Sir Len Hutton
Superb batting technique, played for the county of my birth, scored runs consistently for England - especially against the Australians at a time when they were all powerful - and eventually led England, as captain, to regain the Ashes in 1953 and retain them in Australia in 1954-55.

Biggest Cricketing/Sporting Influence
George Emmett and Jack Crapp
Ex-Gloucestershire players (1940s, 50s and 60s).  Sadly, both are now deceased.  They coached me as a youngster.  Yes, I was young once !!  Both were total gentlemen.  They taught the skills and techniques of the game and the ethos, ethics and spirit of the game.  I remember both of them with enormous respect and fondness.

Sports Followed Other Than Cricket? Rugby Union and Football

Favourite Sporting Moment
Heineken Cup Final, 19 May 2001, Parc Des Princes, Paris  -  Leicester Tigers 34 .v. Stade Francais 30.  Austin Healey's break to set up Tigers' third, and winning, try for Leon Lloyd after Tigers had fallen behind with a couple of minutes to go.  I can still see that break.  Magic !!  Pure magic !!

Favourite Englefield C.C. Moment
The Saturday XI beating Amersham Hill in the League in 2010. Always good to see an overconfident side being taught a lesson and brought down to earth.

Memories Of 2011 Season
The team spirit, endeavour and good humour displayed by the players throughout the season despite things not going their way for most of it.

What does Englefield C.C, mean to you?
Happy memories of Saturday afternoons spent in picturesque surroundings, participating in a game I love.  The good friends made and the good spirit in which they play.
